Deer Hunting

Deer Hunts

At Horseshoe Curve Hunt Club, we open our season with an archery deer hunt which takes place according to the Oregon archery deer season regulations for the current year.  This roughly means sometime in late August. Whitetail and Mule Deer frequent the property and both are open during the archery season. We have no hunts prior to the archery season so the deer are undisturbed. They get used to the farm work that takes place so they are not bothered by farm equipment and the daily irrigation regimen.

The deer use the property all year long and scores of fawns are born here every year. This is their home and they take full advantage of the irrigated food plots and the shady tree lined river. Outside of the river corridor, it is scorching hot in July and August. We have multiple tree stands and ground blinds set up over food plots and travel corridors – you will see deer!

We only take 4 deer hunters per week. Arrive Friday, 4 days of hunting, then leave Wednesday morning. This is a great hunt for someone who wants a shot at an Oregon whitetail because they are plentiful.
